Subject: A rant
This excitement is poison to my gut and I'm afraid for this world. Society has seemed to be numbed to pain and violence. I'm afraid that sensitivity will be diminished, because sensitivity seems to me, to produce goodness from its vines. Sensitivity seems to be much less noticible in today's teens, but thats what teenagers are like, right? But they shouldn't be....

Humor is great, it lightens up my world, but it would be such a sad thing for the world around me to use it as a weapon, if that were to happen, the world's conscious would grow even more accustomed to the screams of innocent victims of death around the world.

The fact that no person with AIDs can become a citizen of America is so sad ; is that law the start of it all?

Lord, help us all. Bring us to a grace that will humble us to others. Help us to realize the value of everyone when no one else can. Give us once again and enlightenment; that love is the most powerful thing in the world. Don't we know that?! Shouldn't we know that?!

They say we're the most advanced people in the world...I strongly disagree.

No, we're not doomed. God is not hateful. God is gracious, kind, patient and most of all, loving. There is no fear to be had for 'The Wrath of God', just the fear that love, our most powerful source, is being stored in the back room.

I love you, love, be evident.

Sorry to be combatative with a new member but this is rather dogmatic and does not really provoke discussion. You are entitled to your beliefs but when you write it is a good idea to consider readers who do not hold yours or at least not with the same strength.

Well, I guess I just considered this to be a poem of mine, I know its doesn't generate much discussion, but I figured, since this is a place where I can express myself I could post it. I probably should have posted it under the Open Mic topic.
But, I know...you have a good point in that I should consider other reader's beleifs.
Thanks (:

as long as folks are respectful to each other around here, everyone is entitled to their strong opinions and others are also entitled to disagree if they like. the thinking spot is geared toward topics which pose a question to encourage discussion, but if a topic doesn't particularly fit that mold, then it's easy enough to move it to one of the other forums.

Brinni, welcome to The Couch. What you wrote is valid because it comes from you, and you were kind enough to share your thoughts and opinions. If what you wrote is considered dogmatic, than the majority of opinions on this forum would be considered dogmatic. We are here to share, and not simply to entertain. If some one's thoughts provoke discussion, then we are all better off for it. Thanks for your contribution. whatever

Hi hovohej. (:
I really loved this part of the peice. It's beautiful. But, I loved all of it too. Thanks so much for sharinghug

"Wrought between the hammer and the anvil, strengthened to never break.
The weakness that surrounds is the evil that I forsake.
Never have I taken in vain the sacred vessel of my soul.
I am the master of my faith, my destiny I control.

Nobility lies in actions, corrections where once was wrong. Ascension from evil with a heart that's true and strong. Through this veil of shadows, the light of truth is my only guide.
A knight unyielding.

To the X I'm crucified."
