hi rj,

the hosting company was not able to duplicate the problem, and i haven't had this problem on my home computer at all either. if you're on a network that shares bandwidth with other people, it may be that heavy traffic times are slowing down the connection so much that the page times out while trying to access the couch database.

the support technician asked that we make a note of the time and dates of when it happens so they can make a more focused investigation into the problem. they also asked that we make a note of any error messages it gives when it times out.

thanks,
lib

Thank you, libertygrl!

It hasen't happened in the last couple of day's. Whoever the the host is, may be hosting several forums or sites and traffic may have gotten a little heavy. I'm not on a network. I don't use windows or IE so error messages will do them no good. My browser just informed me a few times it could not establish a connection with the server for this forum. I had no difficulty on any other sites or forums at the time.

It's probably a hardware issue with the host when traffic get a little heavy. The traffic on this forum is much too low for the problem to be here.

Thanks again!
rj
