Thank you DOC for starting off a refreshing SENSIBLE discuscion clap

since the fall of man nearly 6,000 years ago mankind as it spread across the earth started to invent new ways of worshipping GOD and in time man made religions and traditions sprang up all over the world.
in the east whindhism and bhudism flourished.
in ISRAEL JUDAISM became the main religious worship .
in ARABIA islam came to be the main religion .
innearlyeurope PAGANS flourished until after the time of christ when around 333 ad ROMAN CATHOLCISM became the dominaing religion .
BUT all these MAN MADE religions had major differences in beliefs and worship and tradions and thse differences broughtb terrible sufferings upon the world ..
moslems against hindhus.
moslems against christians .

but how did all these differences come abut in the first place ?
because all of these religions (with the exception of chritaity)
attemted to worship GOD in a way opposite to the way that GOD dcreed that they worship him.

and what way was that ?...through his son JESUS CHRIST .

they attepted to get to GOD through some other way or man or oleader other than JESUS .
and so the nations will wander like the blind in their false man made religious tradions causing wars and terrible sufferings UNTIL JESUS returns to the earth and brings the nations back to the TRUE worship of GOD as itwas in the beginning peace

My nephew is being raised Catholic, so - while not practicing myself - I, at the least, try not to get in the way of his training.

His dad usually takes him to church but I've filled in a few times. Surrounded by 'christianity' makes my heathen skin itch, but I ignore it and just get through the hour.

I figure, when the boy is old enough, he'll make up his mind what he wants to do about religion, so there's no good reason to try directing him in any way now.

He's a smart kid...pretty sure whatever he chooses for himself down the road will be a good fit...I can't lie: I hope he finds a way that doesn't involve religion, but I'm not inclined to give him any grief if he chooses it.

JEWISH REIGIOUS TRADITIONS

below is a mall clip from the film fiddler on the roof about JEWISH traditions some of it is of course intended to be humourous but some of these traditions are practised by the JEWS today and they think that these traditions draw them closer to GOD .zen

Several months ago I participated in a book study of the book "Mudhouse Sabbath" and the author wrote about many of the Jewish traditions that were not practiced in Christianity. Most, if not all, of these traditions strengthened a persons sense of belonging to a community of others who supported them.

Easter is coming and soon we will be participating in the Passover Seder at our church.

I think that the true GOD would want us to examine more CLOSELY the religious traditions we have been taught remembering that SATAN is deceiving the whole world with false religious practises nod

with the help of the WW WEB WHICH PREVIOUS GENERATIONS DID NOT HAVE ACCESS TO and the the HOLY SPIRIT that tells us that there is nothing hidden that will not be revealed and will be revealed at the time of the end which all the signs show we are now living in, we can see things MORE accurately than we could before.

with this extra information given us by GOD at this time of the end it would be sensible to examine more closely the following practices that we take for granted.

1. EASTER.
2. SUNDAY MORNING WORSHIP .
3. CHRISTMAS .
peace

EASTER .

All ancient pagan worship had a CORE OF GODDESS worship .
in ancient Babylon and parts of the middle east her name was ISHTAR or AHTORETH , in time these goddesses moved over Europe and final came over to my country England long before there was Christianity or America as we now know it .
the ancient English were known as anglo Saxons and they worshipped the goddess under the name of EOSTRE ,she was the fertility goddess of spring and was thought to bring blessings on crops and child bearing in return for worshipping her .
this carried on until the advent of Christianity which brought problems for both pagans an Christians for the practices of the pagans di not quite match up to the teachings of the Christians so the early church fathers decided to take in some beliefs of the pagans and call it Christianity .

they also decide to change the name of the GODDESS EOTRE to EASTER and link the spring worship to the JEWISH PASSOVER (PESACH )and so the ancient fertility spring goddess EOSTRE still has her name mentioned today by Christians under the modern form of EASTER nod

any one can check out what I say by entering the heading ORIGINS OF EASTER into your google browser and you be given hundreds of sites which show the same facts nod

More depends on what each Christian believes about each symbol than the origin of that symbol. Attribute what you like to the symbol, but it only has that meaning to you, not to anyone else.

...............SUNDAY MORNING CHRISTIAN WORSHIP..........

Every SUNDAY MORNING millions of people calling themselves Christians will attend various Christian denominations churches to worship GOD on the day that they call the Sabbath .
BUT they do not know or if they do know ignore the FACT that the SABBATH is SATURDAY not SUNDAY .

SATURDAY SABBATHG worship is ordained by GOD and is kept by the JEWS on Saturday up till this day today .

SUNDAY so called SABBATH worship was ordained by the emperor Constantine and the catholic church who changed the ordinance of GOD .

the bible says GOD rested on the LAST day of the week which is SATURDAY not the first day of the week which is SUNDAY .

before he became a so called Christian the emperor Constantine was a PAGAN and worshipped the SUN GOD and his holy day was SUNDAY , and so when he became a Christian ? he and the catholic church fathers changed GODS SABBATH from SATURDAY to SUNDAY and commanded all the churches to no longer observe the GOD ORDAINED SATURDAY Sabbath worship .
below is a video of a CATHOLIC BSHOP confessing to the TRUTH of what I have written *peace*
