How went the day, how goes the season, for everyone?

It was a quiet one for us: gifts for the boy; closeted aggravation for the adults.

My inner Scrooge was unhappy being locked up, but, fuck 'em...absolutely no good reason to infect the kid with cynicism...the world will do that soon enough.

Thursday eve was nice, the younger daughter and her family came over for supper, then they went to look a Christmas lights and we met them for Christmas eve church service.

Friday was quiet, no-one came over and my wife and I had the day to ourselves.

Saturday morning the daughter and her family came back, and my son and his family came for breakfast. We really had too much food and couldn't eat it all so there were left overs. Then presents and paper all over the place, it's a good thing I had a fire in the fireplace so we had a place to throw the torn up wrapping paper, and threaten the kids if they didn't pick up their toys.

"threaten the kids"

HA!

The current effective threat: taking away xbox privileges.

Since the boy had lost all his computer, TV and device privileges, there wasn't much left except to extend them, the real threat was that anything left would be thrown in the fire. That seemed to work pretty well, especially after the paper was thrown in and the flames roared up, very impressive.
