Ah yes just got an email from Starjade about it, looks like that was Paul. Well my dears this site does not get much traffic these days anyway, I have been thinking about closing it to postings & just leaving it open for searching and viewing. What do you guys think?

Dear Liberty Girl. The powers that be decided to ban Starjade. Since following The Couch since 2007, I have seen the necessity to ban certain members when behavior became too outrageous. The moderators have been extremely tolerant and patient with him. It reached an extreme never before seen on The Couch Forum. The bottom line is that he did it to himself. Yes, his opinions have a right to be heard, but there has to be a certain modicum of decency and respect for others. The profanities and insults simply spiraled out of control. And went on, and on, and on.

As for myself, I would leave The Couch the same. There are still decent people that appreciate the opportunity to Post a Topic, and also the opportunity to reply to one.

Sincerely, Metamorpha

libertygrl I do look in more than I post, I would be sorry to see the forum closed. Please leave it as it is. The contributions do ebb and flow as time passes. Perhaps someday sooner or later the activity will ramp up again, be patient with us.

It should be noted that users like Starjade do tend to inhibit others from posting. Perhaps now that he is gone, others will start posting again.

Some people like the dark.

When we moved out here in the country, a friend of mine sent us some spot lights to put up, "to get some lights on". I never did get them hooked up, I like it dark in the woods.

Under the subject, I can't bear to even use his name, RE: St....de.

At any rate I agree that nighttime is special, especially if you live in the country. The nocturnal animals and insects have a life unto themselves. It even smells different as the dew forms on the grass. Nighttime is special and relaxing. The rush and push of the day is gone. When I'm up all night, I think about all the people that are asleep. Also I think of those that can't sleep because of the pressure their under. I'm nocturnal...I come alive at night. Just some thoughts Doc. Hope you hold me on some level of esteem.

(P.S.) Doc give us an update on the train show you attended. Years ago I received an all metal Lionel Train Set for Christmas, and it was my most treasured Christmas gift. To my understanding, those old Lionel Train Sets are quite valuable today.

IMO, you're one of the good guys.

The train show went well for me, it was on Oct. 22, 23, 24th. This time I took 2 things along that I had never taken along before, and from the response, I'll do it again. I had a number of houses and other buildings in HO scale that had started to come apart, rekitted. My intention was to rebuild them and sell the reassembled buildings. Then I thought "I don't need more projects", so I took them to the show in clear plastic containers, and sold some of them as is. I'll go through my buildings ans see if there are any more that I just don't want to bother with. Selling them will get me a little money, and get them out of my attic.

The other item was trees in different sizes. I had started making trees for my own layout, and my wife suggested that I take some along to sell. I used the prunnings from several Invincible Spirit Hydrangea that I had trimmed to about 10 to 12". I was selecting for a straight stem and since the blossom is at the top, it resembled a tree in a mature forest where all the foliage is all at the top. I also used some Hylotelephium that my son had trimmed of of several plants that he was growing. With all of these, I dip the stem in dark grey paint and let them dry. Then I dip the top in dilute white glue and sprinkle green fine turf from woodland scienics. Everyone who looked at them said I should charge more for them, I was selling small ones, about 3"s, for $2.00, medium, about 6"s, for $2.50, and large ones, about 10" for $3.00. The way I have it set up to make them, doesn't take very long, I do them in an assembly line type process. I used to work in machine shops doing production, where I would make 100's or 1,000's of pieces at a time, so I know how to do things like this.

The value of old Lionel varies a lot. Some are rare and worth a lot of money, others are very common and worth very little because the collectors who want one, already have several. Just because it's old Lionel, doesn't automatically make it valuable. Also the condition makes a big difference. A Mint condition, rare item can be worth a lot, a well played with, common item, might be hard to get anything out of. I had some very old Standard gauge, tin plate parts, that were in poor condition, and I could barely give them away. FYI, the show I go to is primarily Lionel O gauge, and it is very big. In fact the Lionel company, and many other major mfg's, sets up a large display to show new products and hand out catalogs for free.

I do not need smilies as you already know I have been laughing at you. I even said so in front of your face. You see as I said I am an open book and was interested in seeing how you reacted. As everyone can see you do establish that my words are very true.

The claims made by the Romans in the New Testament are not true and blasphemous and stand against the actual word of the “Living God”. Despite your hopeless blubbering’s you are clearly seen to be ignoring the actual word of the “Living God”.

Trust in the words of the true Deuteronomy Prophet. This world does not end by Nuclear attacks. It was in my view nature. Movements are happening at the earth’s core and things are moving about. Already scientists are starting to detect the problem by raised temperatures in the Oceans off the west coast of America. It is caused by magma flows within the earths crust however; scientists have not yet reached that conclusion because they do not have my insight.

Meanwhile shirker sunlight. After me being so {cough} nice and polite to your undeserving jackass.

I invoked the Hebrews religious law of Deuteronomy Chapter 19 verses 15 onwards a law brought down by Moses from the “Living God” himself a law that determines matters of the truth regarding any crimes of iniquity or sin. That makes that specific law the actual word of the “Living God”.

I invited you sunlight and metamorpha and anyone else who thinks themselves so clever to show everyone two or three actual witness statements to the following.

The claimed appearance of this Angel Gabriel appearing to Zacharias in the Temple to proclaim the birth of the New Testament characters John the Baptist and of the baby Jesus.

Name two or three actual witnesses to the claimed birth of Jesus and show their statements.

Name two or three actual witnesses to any and all miracles performed by the New Testament character Jesus and show their statements.

Name two or three witnesses to Jesus being beaten crowned with thorns and carrying a cross and being nailed upon it until death and show their statements.

Name and two or three actual witnesses to Jesus being pieced with a spear whiles on the cross and show their statements.

Name two or three actual witnesses to the resurrection of Jesus and show their statements.

If you cannot provide two or three witness statements to these claimed events then in accord with the law of Deuteronomy Chapter 19 verses 15 onwards those claims are established by the actual word of the “Living God” as being untrue.

Well it is strange "perhaps" that sunlight would not reply to such simple questions? Further that sunlights friends could not and did not reply also. That is as good as admitting and saying you know that Starjade was right all along.

That refusal to answer shows you were powerless to defend your Christian religion. Was banning his posts the only way you could escape that reality. grin

You do know Starjade writes on a lot of forums dont you people. This one had no significance to him at all. You all bored him. You have no victory. thumb down
