Subject: God versus Satan
Hello everyone,

it's been long since I initiated any topic in The Thinking Spot forum. It's because I think there aren't many posters active for discussion and debate; therefore I have been mostly posting on Dust Bunnies and Entertainment Center. To be honest I just write once and the same material that I post in my blog I post here as well.

Enough of whereabouts--let me introduce you to new topic.

I have been observing for enough long now that Sunlight uses terms like 'Satan's work' and 'God's work' in posts scattered hither and yon. I thought it would be good to think through what constitutes Satan's work and God's work in your opinion. Feel free to post your views at length here, Sunlight and others.

To begin with: I consider organized religion as work of Satan and it's not just Christianity but any other religion you name Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism and Judaism. I think that organization is what destroys element of true religion and all there is left is 'propaganda' and 'crusades' and 'Jihadas' and 'Dungas'.

An enlightened master or saint like Buddha, Jesus, Nanak or Kabir never emphasize on organization. It's fresh teaching for the betterment of humanity when they are alive but when they're gone almost nothing of what they actually said remains. I think if you watch a movie like A Man From Earth it gives a great idea about errors in communication over a long period of time which start from the first few disciples of a master. A master when he is up and kicking can not communicate fully in words what he experiences --when he is gone there is misinterpretation and misinterpretation and misinterpretation and more of it and I think it becomes something totally opposite of what he intended in the first place.

This is just an example of Devil's work. Lets continue to explore. thumb up

As an atheist, I take all this 'god versus satan' stuff as hooey, BUT, for the purposes of discussion, let's play as if both existed...

God (aka Creator) and Satan (aka Adversary) are both jackasses.

Creator cobbles together a universe and then -- like a kid with an ant farm and a magnifying glass -- he fucks with things perpetually.

Adversary, peeved at Creator, fucks around with things to get back at Creator.

Human beings, stuck in the middle, are chess pieces.

Fuck 'em both, I say.

I thought that I would let others comment first before I re-comment but since nobody has moved in let me say something.

Henry, according to Gnostic world view--this material world inhabited by us was not created by God but rather by Satan. That is, in the grand scheme of things Satan is negative power in universe but as far as this particular material universe goes(or I imagine any number of material universes go, taking Quantum Physics/Hinduism's multiverses into account..)--Satan/Demiurge is the creator. The very word Demiurge means 'the half creator,' which is--that Satan gets material from God and shapes them for his own amusement.

As an aside: Suppose you come to realize one day that you are God--the ultimate power--the Alpha and the Omega--and this whole phenomena is your dream---what would you do or rather not do---if you find inhabiting this hypothetical scenario difficult--you might imagine this for one of the characters of your fiction but if you being Atheist don't prefer putting even your characters into such a situation leave this scenario.

If I were God: I'd do nuthin'.

Too much trouble to 'fix' or to 'play'.

I'd just pop the corn and watch the show.

Some things simply need a name to be called to identify an item. So mankind becomes inventive either to describe or to deceive.

The Christians invented the idea and words such as Satan and the Devil to frighten the congregations into joining their fanatical cult. Making the fools feel they would be safe and protected by the Christians church from all forms of evil that surrounds them. Rather like saying you need a cross to kill off vampires. It is all most laughable in a sad sort of way.

I oft wonder what those congregations thought as Henry 8 started to persecute Roman Christians. The Roman Church was the one needing saving then. So the Christian church is not all that no matter what their claims evil will begot evil and the Christians were the evil ones in those bygone days. Sow what they reaped. Karma came back to bite them in the ass. grin

The reality is that Demons of all kinds do truly exist especially in human form. However let us not start imagining those silly names are true for particular imagined rulers of such evil natures.

The "Living God" however does exist. I had a personal encounter. There are ways I can prove this to be true beyond doubt. I have spoken before about the "Living White Sphere". To judge the Sphere as an entity I speak of it as a whole. Yet it is a collective individual full of many souls making the whole. I could not named the individuals. As I can only see them as the collective of individuals.

They are like atoms to the structure of the Living White Sphere creating a mass. The mass is Spherical in shape and brilliantly white in colour. I do not think science can understand what form of energy it is however it does radiate powerful bright light waves.

The Living White Sphere thinks and is an individual on its own despite also being a collective of individuals. The Living White Sphere has enough power to blow away this entire universe as easy as blowing out a candle. So it is a powerful organism.

Note that I speak of a collective of individuals. Not of angels. Even though I have no doubt some of those individual organisms within that White Sphere are as that would describe if seen by people on this earth.

Further, in my Journey beyond the grave I have also seen where Evil souls live and will abide. Again that grey cloud of energy is also a collective of individuals. Note that I speak of a collective of individuals. Not of Devils or Demons. Even though that is what they mostly are as individuals. It is also a curiosity I have thought upon in that this grey cloud of energy is not Spherical as the "Living White Sphere" is. There are differences between the two not only in nature and colour. The grey cloud of energy also thinks as an individual even though it has a collective of individuals within its energy creating its form.

Of these two entities however. Despite them both being a collective of individuals. I perceive only a singular conciousness of the whole whiles being also aware of the collective within the energies structure.

It is a curiosity and not altogether accurate yet has a similarity that could give some understanding of a collective of individuals becoming a singular organism. In the species known as the Borg of Star trek fame. A collective of individuals working as a whole. Yet whiles together not so individual as they are a part of the whole.

As for your pondering s Thinker 13 in does God exist or not. I can only say.

Oh yeah who have such little faith.

Thank you Thinker 13. You are very thought full. I was first born June 12 my second birth was sometime during the seasons of autumn. I just do not know the date for sure as I thought it was a death not a birth. A part of me wishes I hd noted that day. Gemini's eh. grin

I am curious as to what your birthday is? Also do you have a different starsign to the usual zodiac. Your country may use a different system.

You're most welcome, Starjade. Libertygrl conveys her regards for you! Vedic Astrology does use more concrete study of Zodiac--i once did study your birth-chart but now i don't have your birth-details. Moon sign, moon's constellation, Ascendant sign, Ascendant's constellation, Sun Sign...etc are considered of prime importance in the Vedic system. Though Moon-sign holds utmost importance.

My Sun-sign is Sagittarius as I was born on Dec 13. smiling face

Yes yes, you're right my friend. Moon represents mind mostly---whereas the Sun represents soul. In material terms though--Sun also represents ego. In terms of relations--Moon represents mother and elderly ladies in your family---those who nurture, nourish, care, give emotional support. Sun represents father, authority figures, government and restraints etc. Thanks for your comments dear Sunlight smiling face smiling face
