I'm certainly not going to waste my time making general accusations hoping the people reading it have the wherewithal to correctly infer who it is implicitly targeted at. What would be the point?

Could we also hope that you are not going to waste your time posting any more Bull Shit like this on a discussion forum?

Hope what you will.

At least I'm on topic, not that your daughters scheduling rearrangement isn't fascinating stuff and well worthy of hijacking a thread in The Thinking Spot. Rice beat on a woman... your daughter is a woman... obvious connection.

Next time someone brings up a topic of general import to society please feel free to interject updates on those projects of yours. I'll wait with baited breath. I hope they involve painting. Please, please tell me they involve painting!!!

It occurs to me that there are many different attitudes of men toward women. I am only going to post about 2 of them. One venerates and admires the female, in painting, literature, and other other art forms. The other sees women as property or objects to be dominated, thus abuse against women.

BTW I like Van Gogh but I would point out that there have been many artists who have painted the female form in a manner that demonstrates a certain reverence and admiration of women. I also mentioned other art forms and literature is full of references to women in a positive manner.

The connection between my daughters and the Rice situation is rather tenuous at best.

J,

As I say...

...my comments are anecdotal, not authoritative.

However, as the man said, 'Experience is a dim lamp, which only lights the one who bears it.'

My experience, for me, trumps your outrage.

As for this, "what is a great many in your opinion?"

Roughly forty percent of the investigations I'm privy to were dismissed, or the accused was acquitted, because the accuser was a liar.

Generalize that out and roughly forty percent of all 'domestic violence/child abuse' cases are probably founded on lies.

"Rice beat on a woman"

Who, as the video tape shows, was hitting him first.

Just sayin'...*shrug*
