Subject: Difference between material and divine father(s):
Your material father is your Mayik father--he is father of your material body and you had millions upon millions of fathers in as many incarnations. Your divine father is God who has always been 'one and only father.' He is your REAL father because reality is- 'which doesn't change.'

Material fathers are always senior to you in this Mayik world, because they appear prior to you, but God isn't senior to you. Vedas state clearly that Jeev(Soul/You) and God(Krishna/Bramh/Parmatma) have always been there since very beginning. None of them were ever born and they're not going to die either. Prime difference between them is that--God is all powerful and all knowing and Jeev is almost powerless and knows almost nothing.

Perhaps the mind is the interaction of the physical and spiritual, sort of an interface?

The mind comes from nowhere. It exists out of nowhere. There can only be one conclusion: The mind is god.

If this were true mind would be going nowhere, and that would imply that God is nothing. That might work with some Eastern traditions but it would not fit with Western traditions. A truly universal principle would acomodate all beliefs.

Well, it was a joke, because obviously the mind lives in the body and the spiritual lives within the mind. smiling face

It doesn't beard thinking to try to accomodate all belief systems. Or any belief system, for that matter. Good lord! whee

Mind doesn't live in body for a religious person; otherwise--what would go to heaven, hell or to the Godhead upon death of the material body?

After the death of the material body, subtle body, with all its deed registered inside, travels accordingly and enjoys or suffers based on the deeds done and thoughts harbored as per the theory of reincarnation, which is obviously not provable for a logical or scientific analysis.

It's scientific alright. It's called cloud computing! Only we havn't figured out how to make that work for humans yet. For the moment, it's still science fiction. Peter Hamilton has some interesting things to say on the subject.
