Subject: What's To Say?
I know not of what to say
Amidst this killing ground
The stench of blood lingers around
And I cannot make a sound

The scene that's laid before me
Frightens me to know end
Injuries too deep to mend
Bodies of family and of friend

We live in a world of evil
Of crime, of hate, of war,
Impossible to ignore
And what's it even for?

The ignorance of this astounds me
This entire thing is wrong
We are all too head-strong
Why can we not get along?

So here I stand, dumbfounded
Dreaming of a peaceful someday
That is much too far away
I know not of what to say

Okay, okay! So this is yet another of my dark and depressing poems. I pretty much only write dark poetry. I like them to rhyme... but the rhyming is not as important as the rhythm. If I can't read them with a beat to them then I don't consider it poetry... To all you famous poets who think rhyming and pretty words alone will get any and everywhere: I don't like your works, sorry.

Unfortunately, I am pretty much hopeless when it comes to songwriting. :( I have tried... but I don't even know where to begin. It doesn't help that I am tone deaf. I guess I'm not at all musically inclined.
