Brannaugh does King Henry well. Like others, Shakespeare claims and perhaps believed that sometimes, in war, men bond and love their fellows as in no other context. The Herald's eyes mist over; he is moved to reverence by King Harry's courage. War provides a notable opportunity for the exercise of courage. It also provides the stimulus of danger, keeps life exigent.

I think that these may be among the reasons humans can't stop fighting each other...
